I
like hockey.....no, I LOVE hockey! I love the action, the
fighting, and the hot guys! I grew up as a St. Louis Blues fan, but in the
past few years I have become a die-hard DETROIT RED WINGS fan! You will quickly notice certain players are favored on this site... Brendan Shanahan Recent Thoughts 2/8/2008 - Sadly I have been very busy with work (see my Research section), so I have not been following hockey as much as I would like. I'm happy the Wings are doing very well this year. Some much can happen during the playoffs that it is hard to know if they will go all the way this year! I do think Team Canada made an awesome decision in choosing Steve Yzerman as their GM!

My sister has been a fan of Brendan Shanahan for years, so I have included pictures and quotes dating back to his days in St. Louis. He is definitely one of the funniest players in the league. It is very strange to see him play for the New York Rangers.
Ian Laperriere
My personal favorites also include Ian Laperriere, now with the *gasp* Colorado Avalanche. Lappy plays with such passion that he is a joy to watch. I was impressed with his play during his rookie season with St. Louis and have been following his career since then.
Steve Yzerman
Steve Yzerman was just awesome. I have a great deal of respect for him as a player and as a person. He truly seems to be one of the good guys.
After the Wings won in '98, my sister and I considered going to Detroit for the celebration. Well, the timing didn't work out, but we said that when the Wings won again, we were going. The timing worked out and we were among the 1.2 million people celebrating with the Wings in 2002. We even have proof...thanks to the Detroit News...check this out! My sister is wearing the Shanahan jersey.
